Does QRCode Monkey track scans?
Not in the free tool. Their site states that scan statistics and editability belong to their separate professional product. MetricQR includes scan analytics — geography, device, time-of-day and a full scan log — on the free plan.
Can I edit a QRCode Monkey code after printing it?
No. Their FAQ says you cannot edit the content of the codes again. A static code has the destination encoded in the pattern itself, so changing it means generating and reprinting a new code — which is the core reason dynamic codes exist.
Is a static QR code ever the better choice?
Yes, and it is worth saying so. A static code has no dependency on any provider staying in business, needs no connection to resolve, and cannot be affected by a future pricing change. For WiFi credentials, plain text, or anything archival, static is often the more robust option — and MetricQR generates static codes too.
