Introducing MetricQR Pro: Power Features for Serious Campaigns and Teams

Today we're launching MetricQR Pro — an optional paid plan that unlocks branded URLs, team workspaces, exportable analytics, and a suite of power features for people running serious QR campaigns. And before anything else, the most important part: the free plan isn't changing. Everything you use today stays free, unlimited, and watermark-free.

We built MetricQR on a simple promise: a genuinely generous free tier with no arbitrary limits. That promise hasn't moved an inch. Pro is purely additive — it sits on top of everything you already get for $0, forever.

The free plan still includes:

  • Unlimited QR codes — create as many as you want
  • Unlimited scans — no caps, no metering, no surprise paywalls
  • All 10 QR code types — URL, WiFi, vCard, SMS, email, phone, text, Bitcoin, location, and calendar events
  • Dynamic, editable QR codes — change the destination without reprinting
  • Custom colors, logos & gradients — make codes match your brand
  • Real-time scan analytics — see scans as they happen
  • Geographic & device data — know where and how people scan
  • PNG, SVG & PDF downloads — print-ready in any format
  • No watermarks, no credit card — nothing held hostage behind a signup wall

If the free plan is all you need, that's wonderful — keep using it. Pro exists for the moment you outgrow it.

Pro adds fifteen features aimed at marketers, agencies, and teams who need more control, more polish, and more ways to measure what's working. Here's everything, and why each one matters.

Serve your short links from your own domain — qr.yourbrand.com/c/summer-sale instead of metricqr.com/c/summer-sale — with TLS provisioned and renewed automatically.

Why it matters: The domain is printed into the QR code itself, so it's the one branding decision you can't change afterwards. A code that resolves through your own domain looks like yours on packaging and signage, and people who read the URL before scanning see your name rather than ours.

Replace the auto-generated code in your short link (/c/abc123xyz) with a clean, memorable slug (/c/summer-sale).

Why it matters: Branded links look trustworthy in print and on packaging, they're easy to type if someone can't scan, and they reinforce your campaign name every time the URL is seen. A code like /c/spring-menu tells people exactly where they're going — random characters don't.

Some QR types — a contact card, WiFi details, an event invite — open a page we host rather than redirecting to a URL. Pro lets you brand that page: your colour across the header and buttons, your logo at the top, and your own footer line in place of the MetricQR promo. Save themes in the new Branding area of your dashboard, assign them per code, or set a workspace default that every new code inherits.

Why it matters: That page is the moment a scanner actually meets your brand, and themes apply live at scan time — so when you rebrand, every code you've already printed starts serving the new look immediately. Nothing to reprint. Pick any brand colour and we derive a matching, accessibility-safe palette around it automatically.

Create organizations and invite up to 100 members each, with three roles — Owner, Editor, and Viewer — and a full audit trail of who did what. The owner's subscription covers the whole team.

Why it matters: No more sharing one login. Give designers edit access, give clients view-only access, and keep a clear record of every change. There's no per-seat pricing — one Pro subscription covers the entire workspace, and you can run up to 3 organizations.

Send one printed code to different destinations depending on who scans it. Rules match on operating system, device type, country, or browser language — up to 25 per code, evaluated in order.

Why it matters: One poster, one code, the right landing page for everyone. Route iPhone scans to the App Store and Android scans to Google Play. Send German scans to your German site. Give desktop scans a page that isn't built for a phone. Without this you'd need a separate code, and a separate print run, for each audience.

Put a short form in front of your content and collect a name, email, phone, company, or job title before the scanner continues to the destination. Submissions land in your dashboard and export alongside your scan data.

Why it matters: Scan analytics tell you how many people were interested; a lead form tells you who they were. For trade show booths, property signage, or gated resources, that's the difference between a number on a chart and someone you can follow up with.

Download your scan data as CSV (raw scan rows) or a PDF summary report with charts, scoped to whatever date range you're viewing.

Why it matters: Pull scan data into your own spreadsheets and dashboards, or hand a clean, branded PDF to a client or your boss without screenshotting anything. Your analytics stop living only inside the app.

Require a password before a scanned QR code reveals its content.

Why it matters: Perfect for gated content, private events, internal documents, or member-only offers. The QR code can live out in public while the content behind it stays restricted to people who have the password.

Set a date and time — or a maximum number of scans, or both — for a code to automatically expire, with an optional fallback URL for scans that arrive after it's gone. When both are set, whichever triggers first wins.

Why it matters: Limited-time offers, event passes, and seasonal campaigns can now expire on their own — no need to remember to take them down. Scan limits cover the quantity side: first-100-customers promos, limited-edition drops, or single-use passes. Point expired scans at a "this promo has ended" page instead of a dead end.

Set a window — a start, an end, or both — during which a code is live, with an optional URL for scans that arrive outside it. Leave a bound empty and that side stays open.

Why it matters: Where auto-expiry ends a campaign, scheduling defines when it begins. Print the codes weeks ahead of a launch, a seasonal menu, or a conference and they simply won't resolve until the window opens. Scans that arrive early or late land somewhere sensible instead of a dead end.

Attach static UTM tags (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_term, utm_content) that get appended to your destination URL automatically on every scan.

Why it matters: Your QR scans show up cleanly in Google Analytics and any other UTM-aware tool, sitting right alongside the rest of your marketing attribution. You finally get to see where QR fits in the bigger funnel.

Inject real-time context into your destination URL at the moment of each scan — scan ID, timestamp, date, device type, language, country, and city.

Why it matters: Where UTM tags are fixed, these are live. Your landing page can adapt to the scanner — greet someone in their language, surface a city-specific offer, or tailor the experience to mobile vs. desktop — using data passed straight through the redirect.

Organize QR codes with colored labels, filter your dashboard by them, and assign or remove labels across many codes at once with bulk actions.

Why it matters: Once you've got dozens of codes, structure is everything. Group by client, campaign, location, or status, then filter to exactly the set you care about in a click. Bulk operations turn a tedious cleanup into a five-second job.

Save a finished design — colors, gradients, dot and corner styles, logo, frame — as a named template, then apply it to any new code in one click. Up to 50 per workspace.

Why it matters: Getting a code to match your brand takes a few minutes of fiddling; doing it identically for the fortieth time takes a few minutes you'll never get back. Templates make consistency the default, which matters most when a team is producing codes and you'd rather they all came out looking like the same company made them.

Upload a spreadsheet and create up to 250 QR codes in one go — one row per code, one shared design (start from a saved template if you like), and a results CSV with every short link, ready the moment the batch is created. It works for URL batches and Contact Card (vCard) batches alike: point the wizard at an HR export and get a business card per teammate.

Why it matters: Table tents, asset tags, packaging runs, event badges, team business cards — some campaigns need a code per table, per product, or per person, and making those one at a time is a non-starter. Every code in a batch is a full dynamic QR code with its own analytics, editable destination, and every Pro feature, and the whole batch lands under a shared label so your dashboard filters to it in one click.

Pro is $14/month (€14 in the EU), flat — plus local tax where applicable. That's the whole offer:

  • No per-user pricing — one subscription covers your entire team workspace
  • No annual contract — month to month, cancel anytime
  • No "contact sales" tier — what you see is what you get
  • No usage metering — Pro doesn't reintroduce limits the free plan never had

We deliberately kept this to a single, honest plan. No confusing matrix of tiers, no features dangled just out of reach to push you toward an enterprise quote.

If you're running campaigns, working with a team, or you just want branded links and exportable reports, head to your dashboard and upgrade in a couple of clicks. You'll have Pro the moment checkout completes.

And if the free plan already does everything you need — keep enjoying it. That's exactly what it's there for.
